Song Joong-ki & Katy Saunders Welcome First Child
Korean actor Song Joong-ki and his wife Katy Louise Saunders have welcomed their first child, a baby boy. Song’s management agency, High Zium Studio, announced the news.
Song, known for his roles in popular K-dramas like ‘Descendants of the Sun’ and ‘Vincenzo’, shared a letter with his fan group ‘Ki Aile’ on his official fan cafe.
He mentioned that he recently finished filming his new movie in Hungary and attended the Cannes Film Festival in France.
In the letter, Song revealed that he and his wife had their baby in Rome, Italy, where Katy is from. Both the baby and his mother are healthy.
Song expressed his happiness in taking care of his family and thanked his fans for their love and support. He called their newborn baby the most precious gift of their lives.
Song had announced his marriage to Saunders and her pregnancy in January. He promised his fans that he will return with an exciting new project soon.
Prior to Katy, Song was married to Korean actress Song Hye-kyo, his co-star in ‘Descendants of the Sun’. They got married in 2017 but divorced in 2019.
