Saudi Club Al-Hilal Offers Romelu Lukaku a Two-Year Deal

Romelu Lukaku, the Belgian international who plays for Chelsea, might leave the club during the summer transfer window.

There are reports that he has received a contract offer from Al-Hilal, a club in the Saudi Pro League. If he accepts the offer, Lukaku would join the league, which previously saw Cristiano Ronaldo play for Al-Nassr after leaving Manchester United.

Lukaku is currently on loan at Inter Milan, but he is expected to return to Chelsea despite his desire to stay at Inter. He joined Chelsea in August 2021 for a fee of £98 million but left the club last summer after expressing his intention to leave within six months.

Lukaku recently met with representatives from Al-Hilal to discuss the offer. However, it is believed that he would only leave European football for a more lucrative deal.

Chelsea is open to letting Lukaku go but would require a fee of at least £43 million, which is less than half of what they paid for him. Al-Hilal is trying to negotiate a lower price with Chelsea’s chairman.

Chelsea had a disappointing season, finishing 12th in the Premier League and failing to qualify for European competitions. As a result, the club is planning to make changes to the team for the upcoming season.

Other players, such as N’Golo Kante and Sadio Mane, have also attracted interest from Saudi clubs. Kante is reportedly close to agreeing to a contract similar to Karim Benzema’s move to Al-Ittihad, while Mane has fallen out of favor at Bayern Munich.
