Live Updates: Adipurush Movie Release: Fans Flock to Catch Prabhas’ Film on Opening Day
Adipurush Movie Release Live Updates: The much-anticipated movie Adipurush, starring Prabhas, has been released in theaters worldwide.
The film is a retelling of the Hindu epic, Ramayan, and features Prabhas as Lord Ram, Kriti Sanon as Sita, Sunny Singh as Lakshman, and Saif Ali Khan as Ravan.
The film has been made with a massive budget of Rs 500 crore. During its advance bookings, which started on Sunday, the film earned Rs 12 crore.
The national theater chain PVR alone sold over 100,000 tickets in the Hindi market, and trade analysts predict a significant opening at ticket counters across the country.
Film trade analyst Girish Johar estimated the film’s opening day collection to be around Rs 50 crore, including all languages.
Taran Adarsh, a film trade expert, emphasized the strong emotional connection that Indians have with Ramayan, stating that the film’s essence lies in the epic rather than the star cast.
It is expected that the film’s first-day collection might surpass the opening day collection of Pathaan, a film starring Shah Rukh Khan.
Adipurush narrates the story of Lord Ram, who rescues his wife Sita from the clutches of the evil Ravana with the help of the vanara army and brings her back to Ayodhya.
Kriti Sanon, who plays the role of Sita, expressed her excitement about being a part of Om Raut’s visually spectacular film.
She also mentioned that despite shooting entirely in a studio, the film’s scale and magnitude make it her “biggest film on the smallest set.”
